500 Grand Concourse at Hostos Community College | Bronx, NY

The 500 Grand Concourse facility houses pivotal academic and administrative functions at Hostos Community College. The 120,000 sf building houses classrooms, laboratories, a clinical care teaching facility, and offices for academic faculty and administrative
support staff.

Goshow Architects is working with the college to complete a phased renovation of the entire building, which began in 2003.
To keep the building fully operational during each renovation, we have managed a multi-phase schedule maximizing the use of swing space and phased construction around their academic calendar. Phase I included the School for Dental Hygiene and adjacent memorial plaza, which were completed in 2005. Phase II, completed in January 2012, finalized the fifth floor classrooms, faculty offices, roof, and bathroom renovations for the entire building. The fourth floor is currently in design, and will include the addition of a generator for the building,
and renovation of the Provost’s office, Administrative Computing Center, and several academic departments.
